Inspiration: Free People Catalogue March 2014

'Tis the season to be jolly … and get hitched in Vegas and go on a motorcycle road trip from Cali to Miami and jingle all the way with stacks upon stacks of bracelets and cuffs and walk through the desert barefoot with a see-through flowing white dress and get a million little tattoos of tribal signs. I mean, at least that's what Free People says. And I ain't complaining, to be honest.

Here is some (probably completely superfluous) inspiration for your next road trip with friends (or newlywed spouse): Free People's marvelous March 2014 catalogue featuring Erin Wasson and three new happy feel-good songs from Smokey, the Bear. And no, "Happy" is not one of them.

Monday Muse: Emmanuelle Alt

The time has come to start a new section! The idea: presenting to you some of our very personal style icons to give you an appetizing bite of inspiration for how to dress for the week to come.

We start off with no less than French Vogue Chief Editor Emmanuelle Alt. One word: EFFORTLESS. Known for her simple yet ever so stylish looks, Emmanuelle is mixing delicate basics like cashmere pulls and biker tees with It-pieces of the current season. She's never over-the-top but more like the french girl casual with a cool and serene attitude, leaving us with shining eyes in the sight of this chick knowing every trick in the book.

So let classes begin with Ms. Alt teaching us some styling lessons cause we are eager to learn - at least on a monday afternoon.

Rule number one: mixing out-of-bed-I-don't-care-hair with cropped, slim fitting jeans, a rocking jacket and statement booties is a damn fine way to start the week.

Inspiration: Fashion Week Street Styles

It's that special time of year again: spring is approaching and just like the first flowers, the white fashion week tents blossom in the fashion capitals of the world. And even if you can't be there in person to attend the shows, you can be inspired by amazing streetstyles! Overwhelmed by the mass of styles out there it might seem hard to spot the actual high street trends, but looking at the bigger picture I detected the fashion crowd's 3 most important strategies to fight these last days of winter. And looking fabulous!

Oh yes, these girls are owning it: Fashion all-time must-haves (cashmere, camel coats, BLACK) teamed with their "i didn't even care when I put together that look, because this is what my whole closet looks like"- attitude makes stylish and functional looks. Most likely to be seen on: models of duty.

Where the wild things are? At fashion week, of course! Putting on a (fake)-fur is obviously the best strategy to fight cold wind and snow. Teamed with either informal apparel (like a beanie, skinny jeans) or completing the classic look (red lips, old school hairdo) the fur is a key-piece. Most likely to be seen on: bloggers/fashion editors.

Just like the flowers everyone is missing so much, these ladies make us smile! Beautiful colors, patterns and sequins set these looks apart from the others- and make the grey fashion capitals a little brighter. Most likely to be seen on: everyone who wants to attract attention and is having loads of fun with fasion!

Trend: Baroque Beauty

Be a Baroque Beauty this season! Designers have taken inspiration from Marie Antoinette and fellow socialites of the Baroque époque and transformed it into the 21st century. The result is an edgy, almost grungy, and very modern look - that isn't just reserved for costume parties! Delicious!
