Event: CFDA Awards 2013

The CFDA Awards 2013, annually taking place at the Lincoln Center in New York, are often called the Oscars of Fashion. This event is one of the most important for the fashion crowd - next to Met Gala that took place a couple months ago.

Therefore it is our duty to swoon over the most amazing outfits of the event and the most important fashion people that won awards last night. I am very proud of my favorite designer duo to be the main prize winner of the night for the category "Womenswear Designer of the Year" - congratulations, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler! I was also happy to see Vera Wang win the "Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award" and for Riccardo Tisci to take home the "International Award".

Love: Favorite Collection NYFW - Proenza Schouler FW13

Proenza Schouler's FW13 collection is by far my favorite. Why? I love the use of classic silhouettes mixed with crazy textures and intriguing patterns. Just take a look at the shiny chains, the printed leathers and the dyed feathers - and tell me that you couldn't spend hours looking for all the interesting little details!

Proenza Schouler doesn't need crazy colors to create interest - the entire collection is held in black and white! Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez always find a different way to grasp the viewer's attention, especially focusing on materials. I just love everything about this collection (and their previous collections!) - from the coats, to the shoes, to the clutches ... I should stop gushing and let you see for yourself! Enjoy!
