At this years Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture show, the dutch duo provided proof to their reputation as creative minds and first movers. They showed off their collection with a choreography executed by members of the Dutch National Ballet. Provided with big frizzy hair and pointe shoes, they entered the runway wearing latex pieces, that are supposed to feel like a second skin. Within this framework the ad campaign of their soon-to-be-released perfume called Bonbon, that is said to release a scent which also feels like a second skin, was projected onto a backdrop at the end of the show.
With this, somehow or other reminiscent of Rick Owens imposing spring/summer show, the duo did a innovative new take on how to present fashion in modern times - offering entirely new perspectives to the spectator and letting different kinds of performing arts collide.
